Brick and masonry repair in Richmond, TX
Richmond is the county seat of Fort Bend County, where older homes near the historic center sit alongside newer communities such as Pecan Grove. Much of the area rests on clay soils near the Brazos River that move with moisture, which is one reason stair-step cracks and leaning freestanding masonry are so common here.
We repair the masonry itself: cracked and crumbling mortar joints, broken or spalling brick, and discontinued brick matched as closely as practical with custom staining. We don’t perform foundation repair, and we’ll tell you if the cracks suggest you should have the foundation looked at.

What to know before a masonry project in Richmond
City limits or county
Some Richmond-area addresses are inside city limits and some are in unincorporated Fort Bend County, and permit requirements differ. We coordinate permits when the project requires them.
Older brick is harder to match
On older homes the original brick may no longer be made. We find the closest size and texture and custom-stain replacements to blend, and tell you what to expect before we start.
Look at drainage too
Water pooling against a wall or foundation keeps clay soil moving. Fixing drainage near the repair helps it last.
